The Godox V1 is a revolutionary speedlite that challenges the conventional rectangular flash head design with its distinctive circular reflector, producing light quality fundamentally different — and more pleasing — than traditional rectangular flashes. The round head creates a more uniform, circular catch light in subjects’ eyes rather than the rectangular shape typical flashes produce, resulting in more natural and flattering portrait lighting. The circular reflector also produces a naturally graduated falloff at the edges of the light rather than a hard rectangular boundary, which blends more naturally with ambient light and reduces the need for light modifiers in some situations. At 76 watt-seconds of power, the V1 is more powerful than many rectangular speedlites, and it recycles quickly thanks to the included 2600mAh lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 650 full-power flashes per charge and recycles in just 1.5 seconds. Godox’s 2.4GHz X-system wireless radio is built directly into the flash, enabling TTL master/slave control with up to 32 channels and 16 groups — compatible with all other Godox X-system flashes and triggers. The V1 supports full Through-The-Lens (TTL) automatic exposure control as well as full manual power control in 1/10-stop increments from 1/1 to 1/128.
